Thus, the solution to you problem is somewhat simple - and really only needs to follow a few basic principles:
1. Eat healthy foods in small, regular meals through the day
2. Eat slightly less calories than you burn
3. Drink plenty of water
I suggest you read the 'Guide to Cutting, Bulking and Maintaining' thread at the top of the page and follow some of the basic guidelines in terms of the types of foods you want to be eating. Although there is no need to follow a 'strict' cutting diet, you should still be eating according to that basic outline.
If you them type out a typical day as to how you would eat we can help you a little more.
Check your gym and see if they have a recumbant bike machine. You might be able to do some cardio on it.. It worked for me when I dislocated my shoulder.
It find it hard to eat good when I can't workout. It's just the time that I should be but I find if I haven't lifted for a few days, barring dedicated breaks, my diet starts to fall apart. It's a psychological thing.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
