    analyze this! (please)

    Hi.
I need some help with how much protien I should be eating.
I weigh 306lbs. Lean weight is 180. 126 lbs of fat. This test was done with some kind of signal sent through my arm. Supposed to be the 2nd best way to test bf.
Anyway, My goals over 12 weeks are to lose 50 lbs fat, gain 12 lbs of muscle(or more?)

So i know to maintain weight i should eat about 1 gm protien per pound of bodyweight. Well is that total bodyweight? or lean weight?
Im worried that if I dont eat enough I'll not be able to gain some muscle, of course the loss is more important, but i'M TRYING TO DO BOTH.
Where in the middle should I be?

I train 5 days a week, diff muscle groups each day. I do cardio first thing in the morn(empty stomach), high intensity intervals 5 times a week for 20-28 mins. When I lift its somthing like this; 12x 20lbs, 10x30lbs, 8x40lbs, 6x 50lbs,12x35lbs.Some muscle groups I only do 3 diff. exercises, and others(like legs, shoulders)I do up to 6.

I need help to clear this up, when I ask people just say 1 gr per pound to maintain, 1.5 gr to bulk. where should I be, and what weight do I base this on?

when I had to loose 80lbs to join the coast guard. I used the www.bodyforlife.com
routine and lost it all but I did not gain as much muscle as I wanted. That was a 6
day routine full upperbody in 1workout and full lower in 1workout. cardio 20mins interval
training which was very hard when I first started. diet is your basic 6meals a day
3 meal replacement shakes which myloplex. I also took the old school 200mg caffine
    25mg effedra and 1 asprin 3times per day. 20weeks I went from 240 to 160 it was
hard and maybe not the best way it could have been done.

You should start by reading this...Guide to Cutting, Bulking & Maintenance

I think it will answer alot of your questions and educate you in proper nutrition while you are at it. Also, find a bulk in there that works for you or come up with your own. When you are done post your proposed diet for critiquing and we will help you from there
