    Powdered Carb Mix

I am trying to follow the 45 carb, 35 protein, 20 fat diet (Up Your Mass). Don't know how well it will work for 51+ yr old, but I definitely feel better and look forward to lifting. I use Gormet Protein (comments?) mixed with Kellog's All Bran. The "UP Your Mass" protein/ protein carb mixes taste terrible to me. Is there any better source of dry powdered carbs than grinding up All Bran? Thanks. Joe

pixie sticks are powdered carbs. they are just striaght up dextrose. I don't know what is in the up your mass carb/protein mix but if it is just dextrose and they are saying to spike insulin levels post workout I would just throw a few pixies sticks in my shake....lol.....mmmmmmm

Tried oatmeal and while that tastes the best, it didn't really mix all that well - even after I ground it up in the blender. I'm looking for a low glycemic carb I can add to my protein powder that will mix well in a shaker bottle. Thanks.
