how bad do you want your results.....
Hi there,
I am on a cutting diet and have cut out all fruit juices and milk (as I am seeing if that might be causing me to bloat).
I am pretty much limited to water - but need something to take the taste away from some smart-drugs I am taking and water just doesn't cut it.
Fruit juice used to be great but I need some kind of substitute.
Any recommendations??
Thx![]()

there is nothing that can replace water. You can have diet coke, but its not going to get you the same results as water, you need to drink a MINIMUM of 1 gallon per day.......

To answer your question, I always found that diet iced tea with lemon flavor does a great job at overriding any bad tastes and keeping away the after taste. I use Lipton but other options from Crystal Light companies are optimal too. Just keep the intake limited.
Water + lemon or lime juice + splenda = lemon or lime ade
A Nutritionist by the name of Ann Louise Gittleman who wrote "The Fat Flush Plan" had a fantastic idea!
She recommends adding a Splash of Cranberry juice to your water with a Slice of Lemon for Added vitamin C. Also, Once in the morning she recommends adding 1 Tbls. of Flaxseeds (1 time daily) of which she calls the "Long Life Cocktail."![]()
Thanks for the recommendations!
I didnt think of ice tea for some reason but think I'll try that first.
Beer was a good suggestion...but not good for cutting.![]()
Try some crystal light , that way you still get your water in ya![]()
I love those carbonated waters from walmart. Sodium free calorie free. And very tasty.
Diet soda gets my vote. To hell with being healthy and crap. I want a load of caffeine and some carbonation. Carbonation fills my stomach nicely and can help me forgoe overeating. That is until I belch it all up and my reverie is broken.
If you are gonna do the diet soda, drink from an open glass. Sipping from a bottle
or a can leaves it in your mouth for too long and is very very bad for your teeth.
I learned that the hard way now I have like 7 cavities. I thought i was fine just not
having any sugar ever and doing the basics of teeth care. Well I was wrong and my
dentist told me the it was pretty much all due the amount and the way I was consuming my diet coke. I would drink atleast 6-7 cans per day. Now i have about
6 open 8oz glasses and I aim right for my throat when i drink it.
I really don't know why I just wrote all of thathehehehe

Does the water still have the same effect if you add cordial to it? I find it hard to drink so much water without it tasting nice.
whats cordial?

It is (usually)a flavoured sugar syrup that you dilute in water to add flavour.Originally Posted by DeadBolt
They now have diet versions.... eg: The stuff you can get in Australia is Cottee's cordial - the sugary stuff
And the diet stuff
I am originally from the UK and I noticed that over here in the US they don't really sell cordial. Maybe it is a Euro/Aussi thing!?
