Beans and rice for a protein source?

eating beans and rice all day is the most underated source of protein!

beans and rice (or quinoa), nuts and seeds, olive oil, flaxseed oil, vegetables (big bowel should last all day)

you would have to eat roughly 3 cups of cooked lentils and 1 cup of cooked brown rice (total cals about 900) to get the equivalant amount of protein that 3.5 oz of a cooked chicken breast (total cals 165) provides.

(dried beans) in general for a 1/4 c. serving is 8g. of protein. (people would most likely eat 1/2 c. which would = 16g.) How many grams of protein R in a 4oz. Chix breast?

Agreed....Beans should Not B the only diet but should stay an important part of ones diet. They R in the EFA group and as u know by now.....is Big time stuff. Beans here....chix there....Protein everywhere!!! LOL.
