Fish Oil and the nutrition amounts?

    Hi,

I was recommended to take fish oil capsules 6-10 times a day, specifically during my meals. I was taking CLA (2mg of CLA x 3 times a day) instead.

In the morning, I'm taking 1 tablespoon of Udo's Organic Oil with my oatmeal.

Should I switch to fish oil instead of the CLA?

I went to the drug store the other day, but I was unsure of how much/type/quality of fish oil capsules to purchase.

    i.e.

    - how many grams of fat should 1 capsule contain?

    - how many milligrams of DHA & EPA should there be?

My stats and eating/workout situation, and thanks to Diana my workout routine has switched up : Suggestions for dropping the pounds . I also picked up the Burn the Fat ebook, so learning a bit more as time permits.

Thanks for the answers and support!

Not sure what you SHOULD do but........

1 fish oil cap is 1gm fat = 9 cals and has 180mg EPA and 120mg DHA. Which poses the question, what is the other 700mgs?

Most of them are the same aren't they?
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

you can take both but CLA is not an EFA. so the DHA & EPA is far more important.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Thanks for the reply LAM. I might just stop taking CLA now, and stick with the Fish Oil Caps instead. That would be way too many tablets down my throat!

Hey Karl, I've seen some like this (nutritional info varies on each, scroll to the bottom of the link if needed) :

    http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...=29384&tab=0#0

    http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...=29384&tab=0#0

http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...=29384&tab=0#0 - I think this is the distribution type you have Karl, doesn't have to be the exact product but...

So I was a bit confused... too many fish oil brands at the store. I read in one of the fish oil articles from here, that I should purchase a Fish Oil product coupled with Vitamin E.
