Actually this could be a steady diet if it stays in that interval. Always losing fat but maintaing or creating muscle at the same time.
It is simple but I realized it just now in another thread. A cutting without muscle loss.
Calories under the daily requirement for the total body weight but above the daily needs for LBM. Calories intake In that interval.
Does that work properly with no muscle loss?![]()

Sorry, but could you explain a little more?
Thanks.
Your total weight is LBM plus fat. To decrease fat, your calorie intake must be reduced. So you will lower the total calories from the maintenance level based on your total weight. But you canīt reduce that much or you will start losing muscle as well. So how to find out where is the minimum level? You calculate the maintenance level as if your total weight was your LBM. So you lose fat but still maintain or grow muscle.
Does that make sense?![]()

this is how I have always calculated my calories. I use LBM for everything, I never understood the logic behind using total body weight.Originally Posted by Vieope
