lol, no, im not that ectomorphic. i hate cutting because i cant stand not eating much, thats why i dont do it much. im just on the creme egg diet since sunday and ive been cooped up doing homework all week. the only cardio i get is once the g/f comes over late at nighttime to get back to the gym.
cutting sucks.

cutting sucks.

I'm cutting for a show. Yes it sucks. But no, I didn't lose that much strength. I've lost 32 pounds so far and I've lost about 150 pounds on my squat, about 180 on my leg press, oddly only about 20 pounds on my deadlift, about 30 pounds on bench.

Youre kidding right?Originally Posted by musclepump
150 pounds on your squat but only 30 on your bench.
150 pounds on squat but havent lost much strength?
takan from Arnolds ''Bodybuilding for men'' book: ''research has shown me that bodybuilders need around 100g of protein a day and certainly no more then 150g of protein a day, this gives enough protein for muscle building, without adding unecessary calories to the diet''
''one tip i can give you is not to bulk up or put on extra fat during your training that will only have to dieted off, bodybuilders are opt to do this because being heavier makes them feel bigger, but this is a illusion-the extra weight is not working muscle and it does them no good whatsoever, both franco and i used to approach a contest under our competition weight, and thus had to gain 5 pounds or so in the final week, this meant we didnt have to restrict our diets to much, ending up feeling and looking much better, bulking up i believe is a mistake"
i seem to lose hardly any strength when i cut, maybe 5% max on lifts, not much at all, if your cutting right there is no reason why you should lose that much strength

Cutting sucks, but being cut is worth the effort.
Shouldnt you only be losing strength if you are losing muscle, that is ofcourse saying you have the same energy before workouts whether cutting or bulking?
I dont lose any strength while cutting, I wont put on muscle, I may actually increase some of my 1RM by training with lower reps.....
