Garbanzo beans, kidney beans, tuna, egg whites, cottage cheese, ff shredded cheese, parm cheese, sunflower seeds, beets, raw cauliflower, raw broccoli............possibilities are endless![]()

Just wondering, what kinds of "other things" do you put in your salads? I bring a large salad into work every day and I like to add lots of extra goodies including:
crutons
bacon bits (the imitation kind)
almond slices
crushed walnuts
Craisins
I only add a little bit of each of those extra ingredients, just enough to add all the extra flavors. It's maybe an extra 100 calories I add. I will also add one hard boiled egg or a small can of tuna for the protein. As for dressing, I just use a splash.
I make a pretty mean salad.![]()

shrimp or tuna or chicken or cut up ostrich filet
silvered almonds or walnuts or pumpkin seeds
mozzarella or parmesan or goat cheese
cottage cheese
seasonings like dill, lemon pepper, cumin
hard-boiled egg whites
Ive been addicted to grilled cubed chicken breast which has been marinated in fajita seasoning-ontop of a salad dressed with salsa, sour cream, and cheddar cheese...drooool

ok, here is a salad i make me sometimes............ I buy some green salad mix at the store (Garden Salad)... I make me some salsa and mix it with a avocado and make a pyre out of it, i take about 2 chicken breastsa cut them into pieces, i put some cottage cheese together and some green beans and maybe a little brown rice, i mix it all together (the salad wont be dry because of the avocado salsa and cottage cheese mix).....i let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and eat it......ummmmm ummmmmm biiiitch, some yummy salad!!

What do you mean? Why edit your post? I saw it, but there were too many points to touch on.. and I kinda didnt understand what you were asking(hence me asking where you were from before). I dont think thousand island/bleu cheese/russian dressing are very healthy. The rare occasion I eat salad, I like it to taste good.Originally Posted by Missfit4all

just like I never said Cows use Steroids? absolutely Not. Never said that. I did say i didn't know what was done or fed to those cows. It's true, i don't know? Someone else mentioned Steroid use in Cows, therefore, i replied and jokingly said, "And here i thought i never used Steroids?" lol. (and those were my exact words.) All the words r there, go see 4 urself. i am sad about the twisting & stuffing of words down my throat.and i wish it would stop.
No.. I am talking about the dressings I use, and them not being healthy. In your original post, you said something about me saying healthy fats werent good(cant recall.. its been edited). Well my dressings arent healthy fats, they are listed above. You are totally mis understanding what Im saying.
