hey jodi, emma, someone... help me out

Ok, im scheduled for surgery on the 22nd, nothing major, just gonna get my outtie made innie lol. Anyways, looks like I wont be able to lift for around 3 weeks. Now during this time should I lower my cals, but keep my protein and fats the same.... ie, just drop about 100g carbs or so from my diet? Or should I just keep eating the same thing even though im pretty much inactive most of the time? I was thinking of going around 2200 cals, I think that that is my maintenance with around 250g protein, 70g fat, and around 140-150g carbs... Or maybe 200g protein and 200g carbs... What do you think?

Drop your cals but do it proportionaly and keep your macros the same.

Also, stop taking Fish oils 2 weeks ahead of time. They are a mild blood thinner. Nothing major, just precautionary.

I would keep your ratios the same and just lower the calories.

    Personally, I would swap your ratio's a little -

At your weight/height (assuming you are still ~150 pounds and ~10-12% BF?) if you are REALLY not going to be doing any activity at all then I would drop your carbs some... Aim for something like ~2400 cals with ~ 200g protein (1.5 x lean mass), ~250g carbs (total) and ~60-65g fats (0.45-0.5 x LBM).

That comes out to about 35% protein, 40% carbs and 22-25% fats.

Werent you trying to bulk? If not then dismiss this.. But why not keep your cals the same? You look pretty ecto, and wont gain much fat if any at all.. but being in an excess, while immobile couldnt hurt IMO.

Jake, him being ecto is the reason I suggest not playing with the ratios. Inactive or not he is pure ecto and the carbs won't matter IMO.
