    What to do?

Being 16 I guess I have an insane metabolism because I have a hard time gaining mass. Over the holidays I gained about 9 pounds of lean mass and maybe 1 pound of fat (if that) by eating the usual holiday crap food. I dont want to eat unhealthy and I never want to cheat now, the only time I do is when my mom insists on ordering pizza or something even when I offer to cook.

I know Emma and Jodi always tell people my age just to eat alot of and eat healthy, but the problem with me is I can eat ALOT of food and always have an appetite. Ive been eating low fat, high carb, moderate protein, and low gi meals.

Should I just eat, or should I stick to a diet plan like I have been doing?

Try just eating. Make sure it is healthy food and that you keep your training up and just see what happens - if you make good gains then stick to it. If you gain too much fat then there is still no need to follow a 'plan', just make a mental note to pull back a little on the food.

Seriously - why would you control your life with a rigid diet if you do not need to?

Just eat healthy and limit as needed. Don't go on a plan as Emma said.
