Seriously though, I would say Fiber One cerial is the way to go if you want to keep a bored food around. It comes in 2 smaller bags so its easy to transport as well. Chances are you're not getting your daily dietary fiber intake unless you have it planned into your meals.. Thats why i do it...

Plus it doesnt taste good enough to binge on

I chew on some beef jerky, works for me. It's kinda spendy though. Get the really hard
dry stuff and you will spend most of your time trying to eat it, instead of chowing
down the whole bag of the tender stuff.

I would snack on lean proteins, veggies and fats (nuts)
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

If you are just bored and you don't NEED to eat - then have something to drink (some water, green tea etc) and do something to occupy your time (read, go for a walk etc). If you really MUST eat then green fibrous vegetables would be ok - as would a little sugar-free jelly. You could also chew some SF gum.

If you are TRULY hungry (and it is not just boredom) then having a small meal of lean protein + vegetables +/- some fats or carbs (depending on what you are more comfortable)... But with a good meal plan you shouldn't really be 'snacking' between meals anyway.

Don't eat when you're bored. When people eat when they are "bored," in MHO, they tend to eat more than they should, even if they are eating their "timed' meals to keep their metabolism going. Water fills the stomach and can diminish hunger a little.

I don't like the concept of "eating when bored."

It's not a good thing, and it's also a slippery slope.
