    1 week weight in

Well the verdict is in.....Healthy eating and a 40,40,20 ratio works.

    Weight loss 2 pounds
    Fat % lost .07
    Fat mass lost 1.6 lbs
    LMM lost .04

I am going to up my protein just a bit, as I lost a little LM

Anyone know anything about the impedance reading on the body fat scale?
And what should your total body water be?

Bio-impedence is not an accurate way of measuing bodyfat loss. Stick with caliper readings if you can.

yes, but your bioelectric impedance changes over the course of the day - sometimes up to 5%. last time i tested with bioelectric impedance it said i was 18.5%. which is funny because im about 12.

It is fine if you use it to give you 'trends' - just do it first thing in the morning, empty stomach, after going to the bathroom (same as your weight) and know that the reading you get might not be accurate - but if the numbers keep going down then at least you know your heading in the right direction.

Also be aware that things like your period can alter the readings a little - so take any sudden rises or drops with a grain of salt.
