    Wild rice

I don't know where else to get it, but Trader Joes has this rice called "organic lake wild rice." It is so good (especially if you cook it half water half chicken stock). It technically isn't rice though, it is a weed or something that grows in marshes in parts of the states.

I don't know the values but it is damn good. Anyone else had this?

yeah i got accustomed to it when i lived in Minnesota, where they grow most of it. Yeah its a marsh grass. I think its best with a half w.r. and brown rice mix cooked in chicken stock. mmmm...good stuff.

Never had it (living in Australia it would be hard to get hold of it I imagine)...

I have had wild rice over here though - and it is really yummy!!

Oh - and if you are interested I know that normal wild rice is:
    1 cup cooked = 160g
    166 cals, 35g carbs (3g fibre), 6.5g protein, 0.6g fat (0.1g sat)

But I am unsure if the macro's would be the same.
