actually, that looks pretty good... I was thinking about something similar, with a different split...
I was thinking on trying carb cycling. my lifting schedule and carb cycle is like this:
mon: Leg/calves---high carb
tues:chest/back---low carb
wed: off/cardio---no carb
thurs:shoulders/traps---low carb
fri: bi's/tri's---high carb
sat: abs/calves---no carb
sun: off/cardio---low carb
would this be a good way to cycle? or would you guys advise me to change it around again?
Chris

hah nice, have you ever cycled before? i've heard people have got good results.. so imma try it out.. just not looking forward to them "no carb days".. gonna be an ass kicker
Do you work your arms pretty hard? You should switch the tues fridayworkouts so your back/chest day is on a high carb day instead of a low carb one. Your hardest workouts should be on your high carb days. But alot of it is presonal preference soOriginally Posted by mawi_wowie

I have found that with carb cycling it is better to do 3 days of low carbs and then a day of high carbs. For me the no carb day made me loose LBM. By having three low and one (or two) high days, your muscles won't be starved.
thats my only problem.. the way i set up my routine gives me enough rest before i work my arms out again. But it was recommended not to have back to back high or low carb days. In y case would be legs high carbs, then back/chest high carbs.. i'll just see how it all works out.. and then tweak anything along the way if necessary. Hm.. and another question, im currently trying to cut, and im having trouble finding a balanced diet that would suit this cycle. How many calories total, the amount of fats/proteins for non carb days, and then a different balance on the low/high carb days.
hm.. overthepond, i'll keep your experience in mind. Perhaps the same will happen to me, again i'll stick with my routine and see how it goes, if i do end up losing LBM i'll try your way out
