Chicken/Lean Beef At night

Would it be alright to consume chicken/lean beef 30 minutes before you sleep as your last meal? There aren't any negative effects of doing this right?

eat it with some healthy fats so it doesnt digest so quickly, and you'd be fine... a good meat would be eggwhite/whole eggs... or salmon... but chicken and beef are fine as well.

OH you guys are telling me, they don't really support my lifestyle whatsoever. They're afraid that I'm getting too big (my mom personally doesn't want me to break the 190 barrier, but pfft I'll just keep my weight a secret from her). Anywho, my parents are making me go to the doc's soon to do a general checkup, hopefully that will calm them down.

The media has played a good role in this too, I guess they've fallen into that trap. I think it was 20/20 that had a documentary show on negative effects of steroids (media always portrays 'em as being such a bad thing), and my parents right away gave me a hugee lecteur on steroid usage, and continued this for about a week or 2 (I'm clean, but they know I've made some serious gains these past 4 months).

Oh well, its just that much harder to lift/eat right when you constantly have people nagging at you, but hey I've survived 1.5 years already

Ah thanks for 'em words of encouragement. I've never really let them get to me before, and I don't plan on doing so. I'm focused on my goals

my parents are the same way. well they were until I told them to get over it. I buy my own food, supplements, and everything in between. My mom wants to lose weight and she asked for advice but it doesn't seem to sink in.

dude alaric, i cant believe your parents dont want you to get bigger. My mom is always telling me to lift and eat to gain mass and she is happy i am getting bigger as well as my family and friends. I find it unbelievable that they disagree with what you are doing especially since the majority of the population is fat. Tell them this next time...

"Would you rather like me to be big and strong or fat and weak?''

They shouldnt run your life so keep doing what youre doing unless they threaten to kick you out of the house or something..lol

ReelbigFish - That's the same thing with my mom, she has asked me for advice but its never really sinks in. I guess you could say my parents are overcautious, I could show them studies after studies, but they would rather listen to their friends over the facts that I prove for them.

shiznit - I guess part of the reason why is because my mom's family has a history of being obese. When I tell her my weight, she thinks its mostly fat (just because of the way it runs in the family).

You should consider yourself to be lucky to have a supportive family
My parents are pretty much old fashioned and stubborn. They would rather have me be 160 lbs, then 195.
