    Surgery sucks :( Hows this?

Ok, just had surgery yesterday, doctors orders are no exercise for about 3 weeks... So had to change things up a bit, what do you think?

    Breakfast
    Choice of :
    Protein Pancakes (pumpkin/oats/whole wheat flour/cc/egg whites/whey/walnuts)
    460cal / 57c / 38p / 10f
    or
    Porridge (Egg whites/Oats/Oatbran/Almonds)
    450cal / 57c / 36p / 10f

    Mid Morning
    Combination of:
    Chicken Breast (5oz)
    Turkey Breast (5oz)
    Can Tuna (90g)

    And
    Sweet Potato (180g)
Barilla Plus Pasta w/ Organic Sauce (2oz)
    Brown Basmati Rice (50g)
    Barley (50g)
    Wild Rice (50g)

    And
    Frozen Mixed Veggies (1 cup)
    Frozen Spinach (1 cup)
Salad Mix (Whole Bag plus extras, Mush/Caul./spinach etc.)

    Plus
    3 Fish oil
    2 Flax oil

    Around 430 cals 49c / 40p / 8f

    Lunch
    Same as above
    ~430 / 49 / 40 / 8

    Afternoon
    Same as above
    ~430 / 49 / 40 / 8

    Dinner
    Either:
Tuna Salad Sandwich (3oz tuna/olive oil/2 slices whole wheat(orowheat low carb whole wheat))

    OR
Salmon Salad Sandwich (3oz canned salmon/cottage cheese/2 slices whole wheat)

    PLUS:
Salad Mix (whole bag plus extras, mush/cauliflower/spinach etc.)
    300 cal / 30c / 36p / 4.5f

    Before Bed
280g No Salt added 1% Cottage Cheese
    28g Natual Peanut Butter.
    366cal / 14c / 41p / 17f

    Totals

    So totals are:

    Around 2400cals / 250c / 230p / 55f ... 60g fiber

Seems like a cutting diet, I know, but im not lifting for the next 3 weeks and wont be doing much of anything.

I think you should increase your cals a bit and make it a maintenance diet. The foods and meals look good but not enough cals for you IMO.

3 weeks? That's rough. I almost went insane when I took my scheduled 1 week off.

Well I hope you manage, and good luck with the recuperation.

I would say 2400 is good because I remember a while back that you were trying to bulk at around 2500-2600. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree with Jodi - I think what you are eating looks great, but I would increase your totals a little. I'd probably aim for 2600 cals... Not only are you recovering from surgery, but a 600 cal drop, all in one go, is a little too much for my liking.

You are not going to blow up over 3 weeks - Start with something higher and see what happens. If you are unhappy, then take off a little more.... No harm will be done if you keep it clean.

You might actually find that this is just the break your body needs to kick up your anabolism and get you actually adding some mass, instead of just 'trying' to add mass!
