    Any special ways u guys prepare this stuff?

    Do you eat the stalk as well as the flower?

    eat mine raw, i believe that steaming drains some nutriets out of it, thats why i never do it, but broccoli is broccoli i guess, lol.

    steam it sure, and it doesnt drain nutrients, by cooking/steaming vegetables, it softens the cellular walls where the nutrients are stored and allows then to be digested easier and we get the nutrients easier, now if you overcooked it and pretty much dissolved that cell wall and they were in water, youd have to drink the water too if you wanted the nutrients that came out, but steaming to perfection just improves the taste a lot more and wont ruin it

    i think you get more of the cleansing the colon effect with it raw but sometimes i cant hack it so it depends on how i feel..raw or steamed,maybe with some light ranch

    I get a bag of frozen brocolli heads. I put the desired amount along with chopped sweet potato in a micro(1000 watts), cover and zap for 3 mins.

    The frozen stuff i buy is only the heads. But i have eaten the stalk previously. You will have to use a potato peeler or knife to remove the outer layer first, though.

    finally someone else who loves the stalks too! I'm ADDICTED to the stalks. I don't even peel them, just munch them as they are. I cant go a day without eating my raw broccoli stalks.

    love the stalks as well, got them for breakfast every day(damn terrible burps tho, bad after taiste), no peeling me neither, fine the way they are

    i read on the net the flower contains a large amount of vitamin c ,vitamin a, beta carotene, riboflavin, calcium and the stalk is high in fiber
