    New Figure Competitor

    Hello Everyone!
I am gettting ready to Compete in the NPC Figure Competition in October. I have a personal trainer, he has competed in various competitions, but I know that the diet routine is different for women. Does anyone have any suggestions on diets for 20 weeks out of competition? I have looked into some, but the vary so much. Anabolic seems like it will cut my energy levels too much for training 6 days a week. Any help would be appreciated!

At 20 weeks out you still have plenty of time so there is no need to get 'strict' on your diet yet with most people starting competition diets at 12-16 weeks out.

However, it depends on many things - your BF% at the moment, your experience level with cutting, your bodies responses to weight loss etc etc.

If you are new to competing then you will need more time and you might want to start to clean things up a bit. Similarly, if your BF% is high you will also need more time.

So are you new to competitions? Is this your first one? What is your BF?

    Thank you for responding.
Yes, this will be my first. This is why I am in need of all the advice that I can get. My body responds well. I have been training with a personal trainer for 6 months up until December, when I went to Cabo San Lucas and when I came back I slacked off until April. I just did maintenance, I did not gain any weight or muscle for that matter. I am with my trainer now, and I have been working our, 4 days weight training, 2 days cardio per week. I basically follow the EAS diet as a lifestyle even when I was not training. My BMI is 19%. Basically I need to do fine tuning, definition, and shredding. Any suggestions.
    By the way, thanks!

Laura...try to stick with what your trainer has you doing. Gathering information is good, as long as you follow what your trainer has you doing. You hired him/her for a reason.
