One thing I don't understand about muscles is WHEN they are actually rebuilding. Knowing that would help you time WHEN to consume protein so as to give your muscles the raw materials they need to rebuild. Obviously your muscles don't get any bigger in the gym, but when do they?Is the majority of repair done during sleep? I want to know that so I know what right times are to consume much of the protein I eat so it's not simply burnt off for energy instead of being used to build muscle. So when are good times to consume your protein? Since I have a very physical job there's practically no rest there aside from 2 breaks. Does it do any good to get a lot of protein during that time? Can anyone help me out a little bit? Thanks.

My job is my exercise!
protein should be spread evenly between all of your meals. the goal is to keep your body in an anabolic state where it constantly has the aminos it needs for repair or growth.
