Don't have it in your house, and you can't eat it. If you drive to the store to get something, then you have some problems.
I have three kids in my house who would probably kill me in my sleep if I removed snacks from the house. I don't give into the cravings, mainly because I have to keep my blood sugers in check, but was just curious what others did to fight the urges.

Have you explained to your children that murder is a grave sin? It's one of the commandments you know. Trust me on this.Originally Posted by Tskull

sugar free jello. Have it made up in the fridge.

Chew sf gum.

OK , I think I'm starting to dial this craving crap in, I was sitting on the short bus today going to my basket weaving job and the thought occurred to me that I just might be carb depleting during the day and it is catching up with me after my workouts at night.
So I calculated my carb numbers on my Big Chief notepad and realized I'm stupid (as if the short bus was'nt a hint). Think I can get this dialed in if I can remember where I left my notebook.

Kashi GoLean cereal, sweet taste and lots of protein, SF jello helps too.

I know what you can do
but I hate you all so Im not telling
I drink fruity flavoured herbal tea...like apple cinnamon or peach...no calories, but it still tastes sweet...
If you don't risk anything, you risk even more!
the best way I've found to get rid of sugar cravings is to stop ALL items with Sweetners and SF stuff in it. Don't chew gum or drink diet sodas. Add in some 5HTP, give yourself a few days to a week and the sugar cravings should subside. Then don't just start throwing all the SF stuff back in and take it slow with a little each day or your asking yourself for a sugar binge.

Eating Plain oatmeal helps ALOT!!!!
I like Chai tea and coffee to supress appetite and cravings. I use a good protein shake at night that actually tastes good... Currently ON's Cookies and Cream and I have a large Cup of Chai tea (decaf). Both taste good and I go to sleep asap afterwards. If I'm not lingering around the kitchen I find I don't urge to pick and cheat at night. So I go upstairs to watch TV with the tea, out of reach from the kitchen.![]()
i like that flavored carbinated water..if i sip on one of those at night my stomach gets so full i dont think about eating.
Jodi,
I do think you are correct on cutting the artificial sweeteners out. Last night I drank a glass of diet dr pep and bam all of a sudden I wanted sweets and I had just ate my chicken breast and post w/o carbs so it was not like I did'nt have food in me.
