Cutting down bodyfat
How long does it normally take to cut down bodyfat from 16.4% to 8-10% ? I started lifting and eating healthy in february. I had a BF% of 18.7 and now i am down to 16.4% after ive been lifting for 3 months. However, i havent been on a cutting diet because im basically maintaining right now. So if i were to go on a cutting diet, how long would it take to decrease it down to 8-10% ? By the way, do genetics factor your BF% as well? Does 8-10% BF enable you to see definition, specifically abs?

diet - i usually dont have a strict diet routine, but if i do (hopefully soon)...i will be eating egg whites, whole eggs, fish oil caps, chicken, cottage cheese, natural PB, whole wheat, veggies, steak, protein shakes...u get the idea. I just dont know how to spread them out correctly. Like i know eggs are for breakfast and steak/chicken is for dinner as well as the quantity/quality for each (like how many egg whites? or fish oil caps?) but i dont know where to put everything else.
Cardio - i do about moderate-intense 10-15 minute cardio 2-3 times a week Metabolism - pretty fast Does that help? |

It doesnt matter what time of the day you eat the foods... just that they fit into your needs. I love having eggs as my second to last meal of the day for example. Just make sure your having a good variety of meals including all three macros (fat/protein/carbs). The only variations should be no fats imediately following your workout, or cardio, and maybe no carbs just prior to bed, at least nothing thats med-high gi. Read the stickies at the top of this forum and try to devise a rough outline of somthing you would eat on a normal day, and everyone here would be happy to help you out. |

If you know what you are doing, if you know how to eat and know how to do your cardio, you can get cut 6 to 8 weeks. If you don't know what you are doing, you will never get cut.
