Wait a minute, you're 6'1" at 185 lbs and you want to drop 40 lbs.. don't you think you would look sick at 145 lbs ?

Stay the same wieght, eat a maintenence diet and lift hard, eventually your body will burn more and more fat and calories the stronger you get.

you need to make some drastic changes to your diet. at your height, weight & bf% you don't have much muscle at all for your frame size. I would suggest aiming for a loss of about 20 lbs of fat or close to 10% of your current body fat.

post your daily diet...

if your going to booze go with hard liquor shots or one of my favorites is diet 7up and apple vodka...Boozing is never good for the body because it dehydrates you and has so many diff toxins but its better than slugging a case of beer on the weekends.

im not trying to be negative. with a diet like you posted you are setting yourself up for failure. if you are serious about getting into better shape take some time to learn a little about nutrition, then construct a diet that fits your goals. you can start by reading the stickies in the diet and nutrition forum.

Your situation don't sound right.. 24% body fat at 6'1" 185lbs, you must be a marshmallow. With those stats one would think you were already lean..

i dont know enough about you to get specific. but a general rule to cut fat is to figure out you normal caloric intake and SLOWLY reduce it, dont starve youself. You arent going to get thin overnight. by the diet you posted you need to eat more in the am and try to put together more ballenced meals.

try to eat balanced meals 5 to 6 times a day.. That means high quality protein, essential fat, and low glycemic carbs at each meal..

If you eat 5 to 6 times a day why would you need snacks ? You could always have a protein shake with the peanut butter and multi grain bread and call it a meal.
