quick cooking question on pancakes...
Would it be fine to make the pancake batter the night before and keep it in the fridge for the morning to save time... My protein pancakes have no whey in them, so I would think it'd be fine... just checking.
Heres what im using if it helps 50g Multigrain pancake/waffle mix 30g Oats 150g Pumpkin Puree 1 cup egg whites .25 cup Cottage Cheese .5 tsp Xanthan gum 1.5 tsp baking powder .5 tsp baking soda My main curiousity is the leavining... I was wondering if i left it overnight if it wouldnt rise like it would if it was fresh. |

not 100% sure if it would affect it, but just to be safe you could mix it all up and just add your b. powder and soda in the morn. along with a little water since it'll prolly thicken a good bit while sitting in the fridge.

That way you don't run into any problems with the leavining. |

I dont like what happens to whey when it sits in liquid too long... I think it starts to go bad or something. Thats just my opinion. Plus I dont like heating my whey either... guess im just paranoid... i get 45g protein out of my pancakes without it anyhow.

no this is a normal bulking breakfast for me.... I top it with a mix of 1tbsp natty pb and some sf syrup.... macros end up being around 530cals ~65g carbs 45g protein 10-11g fat ... great breakfast meal, however i cycle it day to day with my other breakfast of a spinach/mushroom omelet, oats and walnuts... which comes out to about the same macros.
