High Protein Shake

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
Well I finaly decided to make a shake in the blender and see what kind of things i could throw into it and have it still taste decent and have a good amount of protein. So for those of you that might be interested here is the recipe. All amounts are kind of estimated i went more for consistancy and also based on number of servings.

3-scoops of whey Protein (60g protein)
3-tbls of peanutbutter (21g protein)
4-cups of shwans strawberry icecream (8g protein)
2-packs of oats (8g protein)
2-3 cups of 2% milk (16-24g protein)
Total:113-121g protein

Makes about 2 tall glasses worth

So is this good or can it be twaeked a lil bit?Does anyone else in here have good protein shake recipies?Damn im a 26 year old male and im asking for recipies like a grandma..anyway, any ideas, recipies, suggestions. Thanx alot everyone

WAAAAAAAAY too much protein. A Protein shake should have MAX between 40-50 grams of protein.. You aren't going to store 120 grams of protein, so its really a waste. Lose the ice cream, use less peanut butter (only put in peanut butter if you are bulking), take out 1 scoop of whey, and drink half the shake in the morning, and half PWO. PWO shakes should have water though, not milk.

- Also, try to use skim milk or 1% milk.

4 cups of ice cream!?!?
A good recipe i used that makes 1 nice size shake is..
1/2c. Oats
1/2 Cottage cheese
1/4c. Milk
2 scoops of whey
Ice
Cinnamon and Splenda for flavor and sweetness.
You don't taste the cottage cheese and mixed with the ice it gives it a texture just like using ice cream.

edit: you could also add in PB or olive oil or what ever for your fats.

If you want to grow jiggly bits then this is great!!

What did you want the shake for? Pre workout? Post-workout? As a meal substitute? This will alter what works best in it....eg:
PWO something like:
1 scoops whey
1 med banana
1 cup skim milk
0.5 cups oatmeal
ice (LOTS - it becomes really thick and froathy)
cinnamon
vanilla extract

Would be good.

Before bed then something like:
0.5 cups 1% cottage cheese
0.5 cups skim milk
1 scoop chocolate casein powder
SF maple syrup
1 tbs peanut butter

Would be better.

As a meal substitute:
0.5-1 cup oats
1 tbs peanut butter
1 scoop whey
0.5 cup blueberries
1 cup ff/sf yoghurt
ICE

would work fine.

You could also try adding creatine to your shake.

-Whey
-Dextrose + Maltodextrin
-Creatine Mono

I have not yet tried creatine yet though... Im only on whey and a multi, but creatine will come soon.

Lol. Yeah that shake is out of control. What is that like 1500 calories? You could've split that up into 3-4 shakes if you wanted to. Personally, my favorite protein shakes are anything with milk, fruit, and vanilla whey. Anything else just adds to the flavor!

just drink 75g of whey isolate and water after you work out on your way to a meal and let your liver sort it out
