    Meals with Cardio and Weight

I have a few quick questions here. Trying to gain muscle and lose fat

    1) I want to do both cardio and weights first thing in the morning when I wake up. Should I do cardio or weights first and what should I eat before if anything? (When doing weights and cardio I don't plan on doing intense cardio...45 minutes speed walking on treadmill at incline)

    2) Whichever one I do first (cardio or weights) should I eat or drink something in between the two or go right into the other session?

    3) What should I eat immediately after the second session...shake, real food, or both? or drink a shake immediateley after and food later?

    4) Is it better to do cardio and weights back to back or do one in the morning and one in the afternoon?

    Thanks

First off, personally, I could not lift well first thing in the morning. If I had a preference I would lift mid-day, or late morning after I woke up a bit.

    But back to you:

It depends on your goals. What takes precidence, gaining muscle or losing weight. I always sake weight training take precidence over cardio. ALWAYS eat something before and after doing either. Take a shake right after your weight workout and gatorade or something to replenish your carbs after cardio. Before weights eat something light, a protein bar (I have 4 or 5 fig newtons), you don't want to run out of energy in there and loose your form. Before running, may be the same, something light, and make sure you're hydrated.

Also, I would say it's best to split them up. Weights first (moning), cardio (afternoon or evening).

If you can't do them separately then I would suggest doing weights first and then cardio. Also, YOU MUST EAT before weight training. You could get away with cardio on an empty stomach but NEVER weight train on an empty stomach.

Cardio alone is fine on a empty stomach but again, eat before weight training

Shake and some oats is great PWO and then a real meal 1-2 hours later

As I mentioned above, it's better to separate them. Cardio in the am, Weights in the PM
    Thanks
I made my suggestions in bold above
