    My Egg Consumption

Well I found out that I do need to increase my egg consumption since i know i dont eat many but i do love eggs.So what I am wondering is if I could just like grab cartons of them and hardboil them?Kinda makes it easeier to eat when you are on the move.Would that be ok?I would imagine it would but thought i would ask the pros.
Also how many eggs should a person consume a day or per meal if u did 4 meals a day?
    Thank You all very much

Hardboiling is great and convenient and you can do a dozen at a time and keep them in the fridge for a few days. In terms of daily consumption you don't want to go overboard, but eating eggs 3-5 days a week isn't bad at all. And contrary to what you might hear, the yolks aren't bad! Eat them too.

You might just have some stinky farts once in a while. Be warned.

So then would you think that eating the carton with in the 3-5 days is ok then? That would be about 2-4 eggs a day.
stinky farts at gym....with all them ppl i can claim my innocence

If I eat 12 whole eggs per day, will the fat hurt me?

    Will it make me unhealthy?

    Thanks.

I'm eating 10 whole eggs a day , and have been for the last 3 weeks. Same question.

As a weight gainer it seems useless, I've put a kilo on these last 3 weeks.

Eggs don't have a lot of calories so eating them for a bulk isn't the best choice. Better off with good solid red meat or chicken/turkey breast.

As for yolks, they contain 1/2 the protein and all of the fats (good fats) you need so I'd personally keep eating them.

I eat 8 eggs in the morning, with 2 yolks.
I thought it was bad for you to eat more than like 2 yolks a day, as they contain a lot of cholesteral?

I got sick of seperating the yolks (I don't have much time in the mornings).

My doctor when I once asked (back in 2003) said no more than 2 yolks a day.(He also said that creatine was useless for weight-training/bodybuilding).

Interesting , ponyboy (you keep ponies?no joke, just interested) that they are not much good for bulking up............

I also got quite ill NOT eating the yolks , as gut feeling tells me, that the best bit of the egg has got to be in that sort of sunshiny bit!!!!

Well, if you need the fats, go for something healthier. Egg fat isnt neccessarily goood for you. Try cutting out half the yolks and add some nuts or oils to year meals.

I would not have that many whole eggs - too much saturated fats (that is ~24g of saturated fats).

You are better off getting your fats from mono or poly-unsaturated sources.

    re; egg yokes

    crazy,
sounds like you got some great advice, but just remember yokes are high in cholesterol. ( which clogs your arteries) it does a great amount of harm to your heart when you consume high amounts. Someone did mention the protein power an egg has; yes, most of the protein is in the yoke. i believe 7/8 grams total for one egg and 3-4 grams of protein in just the white part of the egg.
boil them , yes for a quick snack, but why not just take a myoplex protein dirnk or something?? Good questions by the way.

I've got whey powder, but this ("new, improved and easy to mix") stuff clogs up the mixer, and tastes too sweet.

Question: Can one mix up whey with water put it in a thermos with some ice and drink it hours (say up to 8hrs) later?

I dont know for sure about waiting 8 hours to drink your whey like that. But one thing I do know is when I mixed my whey with water u dont get lumps and I was just mixing with a spoon. Another bennifit of using water insted of milk is that milk slows down the process.Water allows for much faster obsorbtion. So that might be something else to think about to. Again im not sure about the 8 hour wait untill you drink the whey so I would just wait till someone else can give you that answer.
    Good luck.

I might be mixing it too thick. I put 2 measures into about half a litre of water and it didn't clog or get lumpy with the (electric stick-or whatever they are called) mixer. Added a bit more water, and another measure and then it did....

Real eggs tear the ass outta me, so I do like, an eggbeaters type thing...

But, the most I can stomach in the morning is SIX, without becoming offensive!??

Anyone have similar experience, and what was your solution??
