    half fructose, half glucose.

    inferior to dextrose or maltose (or even white bread) as far as spiking insulin goes. Still too high on the GI to be of assistance anywhere else.

    Honey = ass.

    oh, and anyone who says it's good for endurance cause it gives a timed-release effect can kiss my ass.

    For fun at first, but then for saying such a thing. All studies showing that honey is decent were funded by the honey board.

    Recent studies have shown that honey does NOT cause a great insulin spike. I have been doing some research for a couple of diabetic friends and ran across the information on honey twice by two seperate sources.

    actually i talked to a guy who was diabetic and he said his doctor has told him to use honey as his sweetener...
