I have been jones-ing for sushi for 3 days now...
Does anyone have Macro breakdowns for particular types of sushi??
EX:...
Nigiri--Egg, tuna, shrimp, eel, ETC...
Basic rolls--California, Alaska, Tuna, ETC...
I could not locate info without estimating raw, and by weight?!![]()
And this still does not account for Nori, Wasabi, ETC...![]()

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
I generally use the calculation for Tekka maki (tuna roll) as one piece being
21 calories
4 g carbohydrate
1 g protein
So for an entire roll
126 calories
24 g carb
6 g protein
FitDay PC also has the macros for sushi but not specific kinds.
I've found that a typical maki piece is about an ounce, futomaki about 1.5. A single piece of nigiri is about double the macros as a single piece of maki.
You could also try just adding up the ingredients in a roll, approximately:
1 oz tuna = 41 calories, 1 g carb, 7 g protein
3/4 cup sushi rice = 127 calories, 28 g carb, 3 g protein
1 sheet of nori = 10 calories, 2 g carb, 1 g protein
178 total calories, 31 g carb, 11 g protein
(although mixture used to bind the rice together would also contain calories...take more time to figure that out exactly)
PS your fat content is neg. with tuna, however unagi and hamachi are naturally higher in fat content
See, now this is what i'm talking about!Originally Posted by grant
