Any significant change in diet should be done slowly to avoid stomach upset. Over the course of a week, gradually reduce your carbs & increase your fat. However you could immediately switch to slow burning carbs & axe the sugar. Be sure to watch your fibre intake.....if you are doing the bi-weekly carb up, as opposed to the daily carbs, you will most likely need a sugar-free fibre supplement

I eat fairly well right now I just have a terrible weakness for REESEs peanut butter cups.Guess I'll just have to suck it up & give them up for the greater good.

A typical daily meal routine
5:30- shake=1sc.Cell tech,1sc.Promax,1tsp.glutaminew/ water
8:00---9:30 weight train
9:45-same shake as before
12:00-chicken breast,lean beef w/ rice & veggies
2:30-3:00--1/2 Metrx w/ 8oz.skim milk
5:30-6:00--same as 12:00 meal unless to busy @ work then I have other 1/2 Metrx w/ 8oz skim milk
8:30-9:00=2sc.Promax w/ 8-10oz skim milk/water or same meal as 12:00 & 5:30.

I know the CellTech has to go as well as the skim & maybe even the Metrx.Any other suggestions??

Eeeekk!!!! Yes...still far too much sugar and you're depending far too much on protein shakes...are you vegetarian? If not, you need more real food. If there's any sugar/carbs in those shakes they have to go. No MetRx bar either.

A typical daily meal routine
5:30- shake=1sc.Cell tech,1sc.Promax,1tsp.glutaminew/ water

****You need to add either 1 tbsp flax seed oil or 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream to this shake. Protein in the absence of carbs or fat will will undergo gluconeogenisis and be used for energy instead of tissue repair. If there are carbs in these proteins you need to change them.

8:00---9:30 weight train
9:45-same shake as before

****Same as above, strawberries make a good addition!

12:00-chicken breast,lean beef w/ rice & veggies

*****Good, but make sure you're measuring your portion sizes. Add a tsp - tbsp of flax or olive oil, brown rice.

2:30-3:00--1/2 Metrx w/ 8oz.skim milk

Won't do at all....sugar in both (I'm assuming that's a bar you're talking about). Switch to real food....3 whole egg + 3 whites or Canned tuna w/ tbsp full fat mayo or olive oil, etc. No milk! Switch to heavy whipping cream.

5:30-6:00--same as 12:00 meal unless to busy @ work then I have other 1/2 Metrx w/ 8oz skim milk
8:30-9:00=2sc.Promax w/ 8-10oz skim milk/water or same meal as 12:00 & 5:30.

Same as above really, limit your carb intake to 80 grams a day from slow burners....brown rice, sweet potato, old fashioned oats only! The rest of the time you need to be eating fat w/ your protein....heavy cream, flax seed oil, full fat may, olive oil, etc.

Go check out my journal for some ideas

The 1/2 Metrx is from the original mrp.No ,I 'm not a vegetarian.I normally like alot of lean red meat, chicken & turkey breast.Promax from Sportpharma has 50g protein,3.5g fat,6g carbs per 2sc serving when mixed w/ water.I have given up protein bars.I know the Cell Tech has to go as it has 75g carbs,og protein,0gfat,10gcreatine,200mg lipoic acid---this is acreatine transport system from MuscleTech. It has turned out to be "lardass in a can".

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSES & GREAT INFO

Trying something new shouldn't kill me.I'll try this diet out & post my results.

Hey W8, What's your opinion of walnut oil. All sources I've read says it's comparable to flaxseed oil in that it contains both Omega 3 & 6 EFAs. I was thinking it could be used as a salad dressing and in my protein shakes. It should make them taste like a candybar.
