    To Much Protein!!!!

    Here's one for the experts. I heard that there is such a thing as to much protein. Someone please explain this for me.
    I just finished reading an article by Jay Cuutler. He ststed that he eats 12 oz of beef everyday plus 5 lbs of orange roughy plus 100 egg whites a week which is about 14 egg whites a day. Now not including anything else he eats or drinks-ie: Shakes or whatever this would equal about about 500 grams of protein or more. Isn't that a little excessive?.....Mr. Cutler has to spend as much ot more time in the men's room as he does training.

    Im no expert here by any means but it would stand to reason that a guy like Jay could/should be taking in more protein than about 98% of the rest of the population. He has more musclemass than 98% of people and he is taking in good protein and not just shakes thus he can get away with it.

    Think about who you are talking about.............Jay is a big boy and if you figure 500G of protein for him, that sounds about right.

    1.5 - 2 G of protein times your bodyweight is all anyone really needs.

    I am sure the last thing that guy should be worrying about is taking in to much protein....lol.

    Every 10 years the insane protein dose goes up in the body building world. 1-1.25 grams per Lb is more than enough, for those of us who are natural or semi natural.

    I agree, I think on average we over supplement with protein
