I ordered 30 lbs of chocolate mint blend just this past weekend; so I expected them to ship it on Tuesday (day after holiday). To make the long story short, they e-mailed me this morning around 7:30 a.m. while I'm at work stating that they need to charge me another $23.14 on top of what I already paid (cost of 30 lbs. + flat 5.95 shipping). That they're going to charge me that additional amount if I don't respond to their email.
Now that I just read my email around 3:30 p.m., I responded and told them that the shipping has been the same for all weight...and its been like that everytime I order.
I've been a long time customer but I never encountered something like this and I'm kinda annoy; and upset about it. WTF is going on? I can understand changing your shipping policies but I don't understand why they have to change it when the transaction has been made already?! I'm also disappointed that the shipment will be delayed just because they're changing it. It clearly says on their website that their shipping is $5.95 flat on most shipment and when I checked out; that's the amount I was charged.
Now I'm re-thinking if I should order from them again or not cause they're causing me a lot of trouble now. Thanks for listening.

Never do business with them again. I ran a supplement distribution warehouse and I had a few customers who had Internet supplement sites. And they would never have dreamed of changing the prices on there customers after they had already ordered and paid....thats just bad business.
GNC is the biggest rip off I have seen. Their prices are way to inflated. Not sure about Vitaminshoppe since I've never shopped there. Your best value on whey as many have preached time and time again is Costco where you get a 6lb tub for 19.95.
I know better than buying at GNC but anyways, I just purchased 25 lbs. of Prolab whey tonight just to make sure I have a backup on the way as well.
I'm not paying for another $23.14 on top of the $6.00 that I already paid for All the Whey. That's just ridiculous to me. At least alert me of the changes for NEXT TIME but not on the order that already has been charged 3 days ago. I emailed them to cancel my order and give me a refund cause I'm taking my business somewhere else. This is just too much hassle to have and its going to cause me a delay on my order.

I agree. I'm curious to hear their explanation for this, as that's quite the price hike. If this happened to me, I would definately cancel the order and not plan on making another with them again. I don't understand how an internet company could do this (increase cost at any amount after an order has been made) and not expect to lose business. Bulknutrition has always been good to me; give them a try.
i think all these internet sites charge a fluctuating shipping fee IAW the purchase weight....i just paid $23 for a 20lbs purchase order....if anyone knows other sites where they charge a flat fee, give it away...
about bulk nutrition, they dont sell unflavored whey proteins and the ones they sell contain too much fat%.. I buy the unflavored whey isolate from either protein factory and supplement direct.
try DPS. $4.95 for standard ground. Takes about 5 business days, and it usually comes early for me. Their prices on supplements are usually cheaper or the same as the other sites.

Not with 10 lbs. and higher; they charge more for that.
I told them to cancel my order and they responded that they will cancel it and give credit for the cost. Its alright; I'm going to buy my whey somewhere else next time.

I can understand the fluctuating shipping fee but NOT after the transaction and charge has already been made. That's the only reason I buy from All the Whey (and its been that way); that they charge a flat shipping fee for all weight.

Vitamin Shoppe will honor any competitor's prices including internet prices. I went in the other day and ordered some things and brought bodybuilding.coms ads. They honored every one of them and didnt have to pay shipping or wait .
Of course, the ad has to display the exact same product as the one you are going to buy.

I just checked their webpage, not bad selection....what disturbs me is the high priced creatine...do you buy it from them too?

For what it's worth.
Of course you didn't pay shipping, you picked up these items direct didn't you?

I kinda switch around from BN and DPS. Between those two; the prices are usually better and competitive compared to other sites. Go for either Prolab or Optimum...they're good and cheap.

Yeah I will vouch for Bulk Nutrition.
I made a few purchases from them and received the items quick,
cheap prices on their items, and reasonable shipping.
But stuff like Creatine, where the prices are very cheap anyway I will usually buy those products locally.
Hey, let me check on this for you. I do know that we DO charge for Bulk shipping, but it is simply passing on the cost that we have directly from FED EX.
I am sorry that this was handled this way and I will look in to it as soon as I arrive at work in the morning.

I just gave my local Vitamin shoppe a phone call asking if they would honor internet prices; but they said no...only local. That sucks.

Local shops are more expensive due in part to shipping costs, it is just not designated as a line item on your receipt, its part of the whole package.
If you buy a product from a local shop at an internet price, then shipping is absolutely free.
That is the way I took it is that you picked up the item direct at an internet price. But local shops can add on all kinds of underlining costs. Whether you want to call them shipping costs, overhead, whatever that is a given. Selling items on the internet is obviously less overhead and cost for them so naturally they pass on those saving to you.
This should have been handled with Laura directly and not here.
