hey, i'm trying to lose a pretty annoying gut and manboobs, before i start a bulking routine. i'm just curious what difference it'd make between burning calories via cardio or just consuming less /day. lets say i'd burn 300cals in a typical cardio workout, would i get the exact same effect if i were to just consume 300 less calories.
maybe i'm missing somthing, other wise it seems like itd be too easy just to cut back on cals and ignore cardio during cutting/weight loss?
if you are lifting weights then you can do cardio or just eat less. the most important part of dieting is the stimulus of resistance training which tells your body not to waste its LBM because it will come in handy and being hypocaloric. everything else will at best nudge the muscle to fatloss ratio in your favor and make your dieting experience a little easier.
