This is the only one I can find around here, is this ok to eat?
Also about how many carbs/cal is 3/4 cup COOKED (ballpark?)
It looks fine. Long grain rice is better... but short grain is ok too.Originally Posted by r0dxx
Roughly you can usually say that:
0.5 cups cooked rice (~80-90 grams) = ~100 cals, 22-24g carbs, 2g protein
But they say 1 cup uncooked = 3 cups cooked.
So that would mean that:
3 x 0.25 uncooked cups = 1 x 0.75 cooked cups
And they have 0.25 cups uncooked as:
170 cals
40g carbs
3g protein
1.5g fat
So you are looking at those figures as what you would get from 0.75 cooked cups.
Of course, the simple thing to do would be to measure 0.25 cups - cook the rice, and then measure it again to see how much you would be getting.![]()
