Up 4 lbs.. but from what?

So i weighed in today after 2 weeks and im at 159lbs. However 2 weeks ago i started taking a couple of new supplements, Anavol and VasoXP by NxCare. The anavol is a form of creatine (Creatine Alpha-Ketoglutarate) and the VasoXp is an NO2 stimulator. Do you think this is just water weight? I have noticed my abs are a little less defined when i flex. However the rest of my body seems no different (still have striations in my shoulders and chest when I flex).

Creatine causes water weight right? Just checking to see how much of this is real gains.

BTW, i dropped cardio, so that may be helping also.

I doubt that it is all tissue - infact it is probably all water and glycogen (or at least 75% of it would be).

Both creatine and decreased cardio will certainly cause an increase in water weight...

But it is too early to tell exactly what is going on. Give it another two weeks and see if your weight still goes up.

thats what I figured. Does the water retention from creatine eventually go away?

No not until you quit using it. I feel thats one of the added benefits of creatine, it makes you look a little bigger which is an esteem builder. Along with the additional ATP, buffering of lactic acid, enhanced protein synthesis and suspected boost in mental performance its an excellent supplement.

Seriously - Don't worry about it! Most of the water and weight is going to be due to increased in INTRAMUSCULAR glycogen and water - which means it is IN your muscles and this is a GOOD THING!

More water and glycogen in your muscle = better performance, more strength, better recovery and better ability to repair and restore your muscle tissues! All these things are good things. It means that, as long as you are healthy and you are feeding yourself appropriately, your muscle tissue can function to the best of it's ability at any given time and you will be able to create the best anabolic environment you can.

I don't understand why so many people get so concerned about holding 'water' - Unless you are preparing for a competition/photo shoot etc then it will not matter!
