If I plan on doing HIIT first thing in the morning what should I eat/drink before I do it. Should I have a shake with protein and carbs or just protein...I say shake b/c I want to start my HIIT as soon as possible after I wake up. Right now I am bulking and want to maintain all my muscle....just trying to keep fat gain to a minimum. Also, how big should this pre-hiit meal be and what should I eat/drink after my session? I'm 19 yrs old, 6'1' and 170 pounds.
