this pre-workout snack doesn't seem to be enough....

trying to change my cut diet up a bit so i bought a book called ultimate abs from mens health, they give a 7 day meal plan, pre workout meal is a cup of xelery sticks with natural pb on them, cup of milk, and some water, i think it also doubles as one of the meals, along with a smoothie post workout and 3 normal meals........i'm adding a bunch of blueberries but it still doesn't seem enough to sustain intense workouts.....calorie consupmtion is booked at about 2250 for a 185lb man, i'm 195 so figure about 2400, with 150g of protein, but i'm gonna be doing at least 170-175.....

also, so i dont have to start another thread, is HIIT running better for a cut diet than jogging for 3-4 miles?

I would need to know the time before your training to reply. This may be enough depending on your last meal and at what time you had it.

Personally I eat very healthy 1.5 hr pre workout with lots of protein and complex carbs. post workout, i have fast acting carbs and protein. Then an hour later protein and complex carbs again.
