    Post-Workout Protein

How many grams of protein do you consume immediately after a workout? I have been getting a little stomach ache lately when I upped it up from 2 scoops to 2.5 and think that might be the reason why my stomach is hurting after a workout.

2.5 scoops = like 65 grams of protein.

if you weigh 163 lbs.. you dont need 65g protein... i think the general guideline is .25g per lb of bw, and .5g per lb for carbs.

im 150 and take in about 35-40g with about 80g carbs.

It's not. It is a way to do it, but not the best. First of all, you have no where near enough carbs or protein (and therefore amino acids). In the short time after a workout, your body's number one aim is to replenish the nutrients (ATP, glycogen and aminos) that you depleted during your workout. Therefore, to supply the nutrients immediatley to your body is the best option. 50g protein, anywhere between 40-160g dextrose (depending on size and glycogen depletion during a workout), 5g creatine and 10-20g glutamine is your best bet.
