i know you guys probably get this all the time..
but could someone hook me up with an article/website about creatine which includes the whens, hows, and whats?
or could someone just quickly summarize creatine themselves?
thanks..greatly appreciated.
PS: would it be alright for a 16 yr old to be taking creatine?
Essentially, creatine is made up three amino acids: argine, glycine and methionine and increases the energy of ourt muscles by increasing the amount of ATP. Therefore this helps us in our workouts by giving us more explosive power and volumises our muscle cells (simply speaking).
As for using it, some people like to 'load' creatine. Whereby you might take 25-30g creatine a day for 7 days in order to saturate your muscles with it. I'll strongly suggest loading. Then I suggest taking creatine for 4-6 weeks, (at a dose of 3-5g per day) then having 2 weeks off and repeating the cycle.
Last but not least, it is fine for a 16yo to take creatine. Creatine is found naturally in our bodies and is obtained from red meats and fish.
Just make sure you drink plenty of water when taking creatine to avoid stomach cramps. (Ony some people complain of these)
