    Protein

I usually drink a post workout protein shake, but i was wondering, lets say one day u dont work out, and the next day u plan too, is it ok that you drink a protein shake on the morning after that "resting" day before you workout even though your muslces havent endured any exercise?

Also, does fat turn into muscle? It maybe a kind of stupid noob question but i want to know?

Fat is fat and muscle is muscle. Fat will never turn into muscle. You can burn the fat and make your muscles grow, but the fat you have will not become muscle.

exactly. Just because you're not working out that day doesnt mean your muscles are not growing from your previous work out session.

Well - having the shake is not going to do you any harm... It is just another source of protein.

Your body needs protein at times when you are not active - not only for muscle growth and repair but for many other things such as your bones, organs, hormones, brain etc etc..

But you know, you could just eat some real food instead... Unless you are adverse to chewing then having the shake is not going to give you any benefits over and above just eating a good meal of something like a bowl of oats with blueberries and walnuts, topped with natural fat-free yoghurt with an egg white omlette on the side... That would be a lot more anabolic (and healthy) as it will be providing your body with carbs for energy, anti-oxidants from the blueberries, healthy fats from the walnuts, calcium/protein and carbs from the yoghurt and protein from the omlette...

Plus, you know, you get that benefit of enjoying food!!

You really don't need protein powders at most times - the only real exceptions being after workouts where the more rapid uptake is beneficial... or for immediately before workouts in situations when you do not have enough time for a solid meal.

Also, does fat turn into muscle? It maybe a kind of stupid noob question but i want to know?
No - they are different tissues altogether and is similar to suggesting that your liver could become your stomach... or that you can convert let into gold.

Through proper diet and exercise you can DECREASE your fat and INCREASE your muscle.... But they are individual processes....
