Sorry if this is a dumb question...Is Maltodextrin and Dextrose the same? The three best carbs to supplement after a workout are Maltodextrin, sucrose, and glucose. Vitamine E and C are also good in the PWO regimen to reduce free radical levels. I have also heard that Leucine is beneficial as it is very good in stimulating insulin and increasing protein synthesis.
Anybody have suggestions to good sources of these types of carbs? I often drink the Isopure w/ carb protein drink as it has 40g whey isolate protein, and 25g of maltodextrin. At the same time I take my multivitamin, chromium, vitamin C and E. I put about 5g of both creatine and glutamine in the drink. It has worked really well for me.
