For a person who strenuously works out with weights and does cardio a few times a week, I don't see the problem with a few grams daily.

it depends on body weight, level of activity, etc. but the average person can easily consume 3-4 grams of sodium daily with no adverse effects with a sufficient water intake

As long as your water intake is good, sodium shouldn't be an issue.

Levels of a few grams will not matter to the average healthy individual. And for those doing a lot of cardio or those cutting, they need/can actually benefit from having a slightly higher sodium contents in their diet too...
