With food...i prefer the oil b/c I tend to burp up the capsules. As far as the amount that depends on how many calories from unsaturated fat you need in your diet. Are you trying to gain/cut/or just be healthy?

During my cutting I take 16 capsules per day b/c it is pretty much my only source of fat. During gaining, take them whenever as much as you eat a meal. No need for more than 5 caps. If you want to be healthy just have 2-4 every day

I would take a minimum of 6 grams a day of omega 3's, timing with them doesn't matter.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Fish oils I would stick to 6 to 10g a day. 6g if you are smaller or if you eat a lot of omega-3's in your diet (salmon esp), 10g if you are larger or lacking these fats.

I would not go over this much - you start to cause problems with your other fat levels (you want to make sure you are getting enough mono-unsaturated fats) and you also can cause a few issues in terms of insulin and clotting.

You can take them when ever it suits you - but I usually suggest they are taken with meals that do not have enough fats in them.

It depends on the rest of your diet. I usually take 6g a day when cutting, 3 pills after two meals. During my last bulk, I took upwards to 12g/day.
