    i bought a nice pancake griddle. don't need any oil but a little olive oil is ok n adds flavor.

    canola is rapeseed oil n there is some controversy about it bein toxic n so on. olive oil is best i think.

    I usually cook stuff in olive oil.

    i still use olive oil for flavoring my foods, but ive made the switch to "cooking" with enova oil... its pretty good, and has good fat contents.
