Hi Guys, here is a rough guide to my current diet. I am trying to loose some fat so combined with Lipo 6 & an Hour in the gym 4 days a week hopefully I will acheive this? What do you think????
Ok Here goes, Its something like this:
Breakfast:
Banana or Bowl of crunchy nut Cornflakes or 2 Slices of toast
Cup of coffee
Yakult
Lunch:
Apple
Nutri Grain Bar
White Bread or Pitta Cheese & Tomato Sandwich
Banana
Flavoured Water or Can of Diet Coke
Packet of low fat crisps (Potato Chips)
Snack:
Couple of slices of Ham or Turkey
Evening Meal:
Salmon steak, Salad, Roasted Potatoes
or
Chicken Stir fry (Beanprouts etc)
or
Chicken Ceasar Salad
or
Bolognaise-Pasta made with Beef Mince
Afters:
Apple or Orange
Yoghurt
or Mixed fruit Salad
Here are my details:
5ft 11 Tall
186.6 lbs
Not sure what my body fat is, but there is a pic of me in the following thred if you want to judge from that: New to the forum & looking for Advice!
Breakfast:
Banana or Bowl of crunchy nut Cornflakes or 2 Slices of toast
Cup of coffee
Yakult
Lacking a good source of protein. Definitely get some protein in this meal. Eggs are always a good choice, as they contain healthy fats too. Although I can see skipping on the fat for breakfast, I would certainly get some EFAs in this meal if it were me.
Lunch:
Apple
Nutri Grain Bar
White Bread or Pitta Cheese & Tomato Sandwich
Banana
Flavoured Water or Can of Diet Coke
Packet of low fat crisps (Potato Chips)
Again lacking protein. No healthy fats. Too much processed food. I would also add in some vegetables.
Snack:
Couple of slices of Ham or Turkey
That's not much of a snack. Get some carbs and/or EFAs in there. Now would be a good time for some veggies too.
Evening Meal:
Salmon steak, Salad, Roasted Potatoes
or
Chicken Stir fry (Beanprouts etc)
or
Chicken Ceasar Salad
or
Bolognaise-Pasta made with Beef Mince
I like the first choice a lot. The chicken choices are halfway decent as well. The last choice needs some vegetables, and make sure you use olive oil for the meat suace.
Afters:
Apple or Orange
Yoghurt
or Mixed fruit Salad
Protein man, protein. EFAs too if you can.
Basically, your diet lacks protein, healthy fats, and vegetables. You also aren't counting calories I assume. Big mistake. Knowing your maintenance calories is very important to putting together an effective diet.
