    Basmati rice

I'm looking for other rice alternatives. I know brown rice is a good carb and I do eat it. For variety, I've been looking for other options as well. I hear Basmati rice is a lower GI rice. You guys agree?

Basmati is fine. Brown basmati is even better!

But for other carbs, what about Pearl Barley? Or you could try other grains like Buckwheat or Rye?

You could also think about legumes such as lentils, beans, chick-peas etc.

hmm..never tiried Barley or Buckwheat. I do eat lentils, beans, chickpeas. I make a chickpea-lentil-bean salad with a little olive oil, lime juice, onions, cilantro and salt - good stuff.

Brown basmati is the only rice I eat, it tastes much better than regular brown rice and cooks faster also.

Brown basmati is great Really fragrant. Awesome with tuna!

The smell reminds my kids of tacos for some reason (go figure)
