I would go VPX, the Soy Protein would be a huge problem for me since it is the type of protein that makes up the majority of that MRP, unless they labeled it incorrectly.

I'm kinda leaning towards the first one because of the ratios, and the less sugar, and the efa's. Is the soy protein a problem?

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

They both look decent, but the first one is probably going to do more in terms of making you feel full. There is more fat and more carbohydrates. The second one is almost all protein. About 1/3 of the carbs are fiber, and there are only a couple grams of fat. I sort of like the first one better, save for the soy protein. However, I don't think some soy protein is going to kill you, and definitely not if you're a woman.
Any reason why you can't make your own meal replacement?

OMG. I just had my first Prolab Lean Mass Matrix in cinnamon oatmeal flavor.Originally Posted by aggies1ut
Freaking delicious and I'm really picky with shakes. Lately I hate them all. It's been a long time since I've used an MRP (I usually add oats and pb to whey and make my own)
I'm really glad I tried this one. I finished my first one 2 minutes ago and I'm looking forward to another tomorrow.

Definitely a matter of preference. I usually make my own (it's been years since I've bought one). Myoplex is popular but I can stand the stuff.
I'm already looking forward to today's shake.I'll be back to making my own soon enough....too expensive to go this route everyday but I'm really glad I tried the prolab.

if your looking for something similar to Myloplex and you don't mind spending a some cash, i would go with champion nutrition's ultramet "strawberry" by far much better tasting than mylowplex but more $$$$ of course. it's around $30 for 20 packs. I just use whey and oats while on a cut, if bulk I will use whey, oats, skim milk, nat PB and some flax seed oil.
It's much more cost effective to just make your own and take a good multi-vitamin. I do enjoy a good tasting MRP every once or twice a week though. All in all real food is where it's at though, so don't become dependent on MRP's.

i've heard good things about Ultramet but now I'm so fond of the Prolab that if I do buy an MRP it will be this one. It's THAT good. (plus the carb source is nice - no malto etc. has barley, oat flour, brown rice powder)
price is similar. 20 packs for $32. definitely more cost effective to make my own and i'll still do that but i'll probably keep these on hand as a treat. (i can't freaking believe i found an mrp i consider a "treat")
