    Milk

I love milk. I used to drink about 5 gallons a week, and now I drink at least 7 gallons of skim milk. With every meal and in shakes, I just drink alot of it. Any drawbacks to this?

Wow that’s a lot of milk with a whole bunch of sugars and fats you probably don’t need. I been drinking these milk that has less fats and sugars with about double the protein but I cant remember the name. When I get home I'll look and post it up... bad part it only sells in 1/2 gal and it’s more expensive then a regular gal of milk

That is a lot of milk, I heard some people develop allergic reactions if exposed to huge amounts of one type of protein for a very long time.

But, if combined with other good sources of protein, I'm good...right?

I think so, you probably dont have cancer type of answer I know but I only heard this two times, it happened with chicken and protein shake and their source of protein was mainly those foods. I would not worry about this, afterall babies only drink milk when they are growing up.

    Not really anything specific...

There is some research to suggest that there is a link with prostate cancer - but the debate is still out on the issue.

But if you want to drink that much milk, as long as you are getting everything else you need in your diet (vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals) then there should not be a problem.

I didn't think about that. A gallon of the skim milk I drink contains about 1500 calories.

Moderation is the key. Perhaps consider limiting the amount for a few days to see how you feel and look. Then make a judgment call on whether its too much for you.

milk is high on the insulin index. even though it doesn't contain that many sugars it elicits a very high insulin response.

don't expect to stay lean drinking that much milk
