    I don't like to eat

Obviously some clean foods I do enjoy eating, but for the most part when eating clean, I don't perticularly enjoy it. With that being said, I have two questions.

    1. Alot of the time, I will put the food in my mouth, chew it a little bit, and then wash it down with water. I do this for chicken, brown rice, sweet potatoes etc. and I was wondering if thats alright. I'm probably being a little generous when I say I chew it, I basically just swallow it down completely. Is that alright?

    2. Raw eggs. Alot of the times before my workouts, I'll put some egg whites in a cub and swallow it, and get an easy 200 good calories. Is it alright to do this aswell? obviously the risk of salmonella, but isn't that only if you swallow the yolk?

    1) No, that is not alright. Masticating (chewing) is the first step in the digestion process. To properly digest, you need to properly chew.

    2) Personally, I wouldn't drink anything out of a young bear, but that's just me. If the eggs fit into your diet, I don't see it as a problem. Only one in 30,000 eggs have salmonella and salmonella is generally only a risk, in small amounts, to children, the elderly, and those with very poor health. There is the biotin deficiency thing, but if your diet is varied enough, you don't need to worry about this.

The above post assumes that you're not pregnant or nursing.

    lam,

i've looked but i haven't seen many "regulars" saying whether they do or do not ever eat raw eggs. i was actually directing the first question to you, because you've gone on record as saying you don't perticularly enjoy eating.

as for why i don't enjoy it, yes, i did at one time. all i eat is lean ground beef/chicken, broccolo/green beans, and sweet potatoe/brown rice five days a week.

I still don't like eating, but to keep progressing in this sport you have to. I spent a lot of time learning about nutrient timing so that I could make the most out of foods that I do eat.
