Question Are peanuts a good source of Protein?

I heard that peanuts have a lot of protein in them and I was wondering if this would make them beneficial to weight lifters as a prime choice for a snack during the day?

I hope so, that's what I've been munchin on for 2 weeks now. Peanuts are high in unsaturated fats also.

Just make sure you measure/weigh them....don't eat them by the handfuls straight out of the container.

Peanuts/peanut butter are my weakness. I know they have a lot of fat and should be eaten only in small amounts, but they are so addicticing....

I am sitting at my desk right now w/ a big ol jar of dry roasted unsalted peanuts.....not measuring....just munching.

They are soooo good. Oh well, I'll run a few extra miles this weekend

Can't seem to give up my peanut/peanut butter addiction.
